Downtown Redding is ready to ride with a new Shasta Bike Depot. The hub, which opened May 12, will house multiple services and amenities for people who want to enjoy a ‘car-light’ lifestyle. The project was supported in part with a grant from Clean Mobility Options, a voucher program that provides funding for zero-emission transportation to historically underserved communities. Ocean Beach Main Street’s historic pier reopens following months of restoration. After suffering severe damage during last winter’s historic storms, the Ocean Beach Pier reopened to the public on July 1. Read more >

Paso Robles Main Street’s Executive Director Norma Moye celebrates her 90th birthday. The Paso Robles community came together in July to mark a milestone birthday of a local legend and tireless leader, Norma Moye. And after 30 years on the job, she has no plans on retiring. Ukiah Main Street debuts California Welcome Center in the heart of downtown. In July, local officials and members of the Greater Ukiah Business and Tourism Alliance celebrated the grand opening of the city’s new California Welcome Center. As the only welcome center in the state-designated North Coast Region, it will boost Ukiah’s economy by connecting travelers to businesses and landmarks. Read more >

MainStreet Oceanside and Carlsbad Village Business Association take home awards for their downtowns. These two CAMS Members swept the category for “Best Downtown,” winning gold and silver, respectively, from The Best of North County, an annual vote-based contest focusing on and highlighting top businesses, companies, groups, locations, items, and services in North San Diego County.
