Downtown SLO's Mission Plaza ranked #5 on USA Today's 10 Best Public Squares in the United States! Since 1971, Mission Plaza has been a special gathering spot for the Central Coast community. The Plaza hosts events year-round, from the annual summer concerts to holiday happenings to pop-up events from local community organizations. Read More >

Cardiff 101 MainStreet Association launched a brand-new Farmers’ Market. Opening day for this new Certified California Farmers Market was March 4, 2023.  The market runs every Saturday from 10am to 2pm, at Mira Costa College San Elijo Campus. Read more >

City of Fremont Economic Development hosted their Inaugural Restaurant Week. Over 40 restaurants participated, with each offering a special item or promotional combo. The event, which ran from March 17-26, was produced in partnership with the Fremont Chamber and Yelp Bay Area, and represented Fremont’s diverse restaurant community. Read more >

The Ocean Beach MainStreet Association’s Board of Directors has allocated seed funding for a Sidewalk Beautification Initiative. This initiative will begin in mid-April 2023 and continue for six months. Read more >

Downtown Grass Valley breaks ground on a new Pedestrian Plaza project. Construction recently began on the work to transform one block of Grass Valley’s Mill Street into a vibrant, permanent pedestrian plaza. The idea for the streetscape transformation project was sparked when the block was temporarily closed during the pandemic to promote safe, shared outdoor space. Read more >

Richmond Main Street Initiative and CoBiz to partner on AHEAD Economic Development Project. The American Business Bank’s AHEAD program awards nonprofit projects and programs supporting a variety of innovative housing, community, and economic development initiatives. Richmond Main Street will use its grant funding to drive a series of workshops built to assist both experienced and novice entrepreneurs either refine or build their very own business model.
