Three Days of Powering Local Growth In Eureka
By: Brooke Fox, Marketing & Communications Consultant

In September, 65 Main Street professionals from 18 communities across the state gathered in downtown Eureka for educational sessions, networking, and professional development. It was an opportunity for all those involved in California commercial district revitalization to learn best practices, key trends, and economic development strategies to support small businesses and communities in a changing economy. Our Conference Program featured:

3 days of content, conversation, and opportunities to connect
16 information-rich sessions
30+ expert speakers
Dream, Play, Build Workshop
Sunset Happy Hour & Mural Walking Tour
65 passionate professionals from communities across the state and the nation

Eureka was an enchanting conference destination! The historic buildings and shopping on Second Street, Sunset Happy Hour in the Redwoods and vibrant local art scene made the city come to life. As our host program, Eureka Main Street, City of Eureka and their community partners gave attendees a warm North State welcome and a comprehensive look at what makes their accredited Main Street program outstanding.

This event was only made possible by our amazing team, board of directors, sponsors, and supporters: Main Street America, California Office of Historic Preservation, Square, Visit California, and Civitas Advisors, with support from Small Business Majority and Switchfoot Creative

The CAMS Board of Directors plans to bring the conference to Northern California in 2025. More details to be announced shortly. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date on conference plans.
