CAMS Quarterly | Fall 2021
By: Amanda Elliott, Senior Program Officer and Director of California Programs, Main Street America

Welcome to Fall 2021! It was so exciting to come together with our California Main Street members and friends on October 19 for our virtual Open House event, featuring glimpses into what makes our communities so special and sharing important information on farmers’ markets, special assessment districts, committees, California Main Street rebranding, and plans for future activities.

It’s also encouraging to see communities feeling more comfortable with hosting events and gathering together again as we gradually transition into new ways of celebrating our downtowns and districts beyond the pandemic. This summer we saw the return of some great programming. Our California Main Street programs continue to be some of the most innovative.

As we move into winter, we are pleased to see the revival of holiday programming in our downtowns that will light up our communities with cheer and support our local, independent businesses. Check out these cool seasonal activities from East Oakland, Oceanside, San Luis Obispo, Chico, and Paso Robles.

Stay tuned for new opportunities to support your district with grants, training, and other resources. If you haven’t joined as a member, now is the time! CAMS has so much to offer you, your businesses, and your community. Don’t miss out!

In partnership,

Amanda Elliott
