The past few months have been a very exciting period of transition and change for our California Main Street programs. Join us welcoming new executive directors and communities!

Andrea Portillo-Knowles joined Richmond Main Street Initiative in mid-September 2021. Her favorite thing thus far about Downtown Richmond is that it feels like “home” and she is looking forward to continuing RMSI’s tradition of fostering relationships with local community members and stakeholders, as well as increasing the organization's budget capacity. Andrea is a military veteran, serving two tours in the Middle East before earning a Masters degree in Organizational Psychology and beginning her nonprofit career.

Amy Tilley began her tenure as the Downtown Brentwood Coalition’s first full time director on December 1, 2021. She loves that their downtown can be a different experience for everyone and that it has the right mix of practicality and fun for people of all ages. Amy is a mother of two and a San Diego native who grew up playing beach volleyball and being in the water as much as possible. She hopes to bring some of the great things that CAMS’s southern California communities do to Brentwood and is looking forward to strengthening DBC’s marketing presence and relationships with small businesses in 2022 and beyond.

Warmest welcomes also to Karla Robles-Puig, Coronado MainStreet and Omar Rosa, Hollister Downtown Association. And welcome back to Laura Brooks, who returned to Pleasanton Downtown Association as Interim Executive Director in December.
